The Boy Who Spoke to the Earth
Written by Chris Burkard

It’s official, a new book has entered my top 10 list. This quiet book is majestic and wise, it’s captivating and inspiring. Even after I closed the book, somehow it still haunted me. So, I opened it back up and read it again, slower this time. Soaking in every detail the author created. Visit your library or add it to your cart but whatever you do, do it now. We all need to read this book as it has a simple, yet important message. So, read it, then read it again. Make sure it soaks into your soul. Happiness is all around if you stop and look.
ACTIVITY: The next time you are shuffling the kids from point A to point B, stop and look around. Find the details in your day that are true happiness. Don’t rush your little one when he puts on his shoes. Stop and appreciate he is learning how to tie his own shoes. Don’t sigh with frustration at the traffic clogging the roads. Stop and appreciate the beautiful trees that line the street. There is beauty and happiness all around. Find it, hold it and say thank you.
