The Little House
Book #24
The Little House
Virginia Lee Burton
So many of us have the desire to slow down and welcome a little more quiet into our lives. The Little House was resting comfortably in the countryside watching the sunrise and set, the seasons change and of course the animals run about. But soon her quiet countryside was turned into a bustling city. Roads were paved, buildings were standing tall, and noise was all around. She was sad and lonely. But all hope was not lost, soon the right people came along and noticed her standing there amidst all the chaos. They picked her up and moved her back out to the countryside to once again enjoy the stars in the sky. It’s no wonder this book is a winner of the Caldecott Medal.
